Desperados Suffer 7-3 Loss to Marauders
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Philadelphia Marauders and Austin Desperados.
Philadelphia pitcher Sergio Penichet had a large part in his team beating the Austin Desperados, 7-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Penichet, now 5-0. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 8.
Philadelphia used the hitting of Manuel Rosas to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Marauders on top, 5-1. For the game, Rosas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz.
Philadelphia goes to 18-10 with the win.
