New York Loss Tarnishes Seago Performance
New York third baseman Nick Seago had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 9-6, to Dallas at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark. Seago went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Combs in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeff Groves took the loss. Mike Braasch collected save number 1.

Chris Beasley hit a 2-run double off Jose Contreras in the bottom of the third, which put the Dragons in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Beasley had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

Beasley told a Dallas Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The Dragons, now 2-1, have been playing some good baseball.
