Keith Brosch did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Detroit Giants from being beaten, 8-4, to the New York Nightmare at Ballpark of Detroit. Brosch went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chris Wyzard earned the save for New York, his 6th of the year. The Giants fall to 10-14 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2024 season.

Nick Seago, who finished 3rd in the AC in stolen bases with 38 in 2020, chipped in a run-scoring single for New York in the top of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
