Dragons Fall, 9-7, to Orozco, Heathens
|
Leo Orozco added some punch to the Halifax offense, helping them outmuscle the Dallas Dragons, 9-7. In the game, Orozco, who led the AC in runs with 115 in 2018, belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The win belonged to Andy Swift in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Mike Braasch took the loss for Dallas. The loss puts Dallas at 11-11.
Orozco contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Halifax in the top of the ninth. With his team trailing 7-6, Orozco took a fastball from Mike Braasch and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Heathens to leap in front, 9-7.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Orozco told reporters after the game.
