Daytona Beach took on Carolina in front of a lively crowd.

Though he had a stellar game, Bobby Phillips could not prevent his team, the Carolina Reapers, from losing, 6-4, to the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles. Phillips went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Mark Dudley. He tossed 102 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Russ Reinertsen? The fan favorite Reinertsen stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Daytona Beach up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Reinertsen told a Daytona Beach Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

With the win, Daytona Beach boosts its record to 8-14.
