Sea Dogs Earn Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Charleston Sea Dogs defeated the Austin Desperados, 4-3, at Dell Diamond. Leading the charge for Charleston was catcher William Corrado. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The save went to Bob Baucke, his 5th this season. Austin falls to 7-13.
Corrado had a timely hit for Charleston in the top of the ninth. With Charleston trailing 3-1, he turned a first pitch knuckle curve into a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Charleston.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Corrado.
