Maine first baseman Pete Roan had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the New York Nightmare, 11-3. Maine pitcher Dan Miller earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Mario Ruiz suffered the loss. The loss lowers the New York record to 10-10.

David Duthie had a big bases-clearing double for the Pines in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Maine leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Ruiz and swatted a double to center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pines ahead, 5-1.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Maine skipper David Whigham.
