Trash Pandas Shrug Off New York, 11-2
|
The Toronto Trash Pandas handed the New York Nightmare a sound defeat, 11-2, at Nightmare Stadium. Brian Marquez was a main contributor to the win. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Toronto. Miles Hurlbut closed the game out for Toronto, earning his 2nd save. New York is 11-8 after the defeat.
With Toronto leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Marquez hit a cutter from Adam Coleman for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Trash Pandas ahead, 4-0.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Marquez.
