Austin Tacks 4-3 Loss on San Francisco
|
The Austin Desperados picked up a win at Dell Diamond, knocking off the San Francisco Fire, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jason Emary was a big reason why. In 6.2 innings, Emary surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs. The Fire fall to 5-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2024 season.
In the bottom of the 4th, Austin took the lead on a bases-clearing double by John Austin. At the time, the Desperados were trailing 2-1, but Austin's hit with two outs against San Francisco pitcher Pat Daughtry put them in front, 4-2.
"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Emary.
