Conditions were not ideal but San Francisco and Austin were able to put their game in the books.

San Francisco pitcher James Dobyns had a large part in his team subduing the Austin Desperados, 2-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Austin falls to 9-7.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Ben Bohannon to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Fire on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"James giving us the start that he did was huge," said San Francisco manager Jim Clarke.
