Reapers Lose to Pines, 10-4
The Maine Pines picked up a win at Hannaford Dome, downing the Carolina Reapers, 10-4. On the mound for Maine was left-hander Ryan Flamino, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 6 innings, Flamino surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Nick Horrocks earned the save, his 1st, for the Pines.

Maine center fielder Jay McBurney contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Pines ahead, 3-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said McBurney.

The win brings the Pines to 11-5, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
