Trash Pandas Best Eagles in Pitching Duel
|
Getting an impressive start from Jesus Fernandez, Toronto beat Indianapolis by the score of 2-1. The winner was Fernandez. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Ray Dappen. The Trash Pandas, now 5-10, have not found much traction so far in 2024.
Emilio Abreu, who finished 2nd in the NC in home runs with 31 in 2014, had a direct impact on the outcome. Abreu contributed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put Toronto up, 2-0.
"I executed the game plan," said Fernandez.
