Pines Earn Win with Late Rally
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at The Castle.

No one was more impactful than Tony Ochoa in the 5-4 Maine win over Cincinnati. Ochoa, who won the Most Valuable Player Award in 2015, was 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Maine, now 9-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Maine used the timely hitting of Jaime Sherlock to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Pines on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Ochoa.
