Raucous Peter Seidler Memorial Stadium Crowd Propels Fleet to 5-2 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The San Diego Fleet and the Halifax Heathens will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Fleet beat the Heathens, 5-2, at Peter Seidler Memorial Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. San Diego left-hander Rodrigo Lemus had a big role in the win. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball.

Jacob Kennedy, who finished 4th in the NC in batting average with .289 in 2016, came through for San Diego with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. The right fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.

"Rodrigo pumped strikes and he made good pitches when he had to," said San Diego manager Brian Burnett.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Peter Seidler Memorial Stadium in San Diego.
