The Castle played host to some real drama.

The Cincinnati Royals defeated the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 10-9. First Baseman Aaron Jalbert deserved a large share of the credit. Jalbert was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Royals. Reliever Roberto Salazar picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Jon Haynes, who led the AC in wins with 18 in 2019, took the loss.

In the bottom of the eighth, with one out and the game tied, 8-8, slick-fielding shortstop Scott King won it for Cincinnati. With a runner on 3rd, King hit a 1-1 cutter from Christian Chervenka for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 9-8 win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Jalbert told the Cincinnati Bulletin.

The win brings the Royals to 3-7, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
