Mounties Field was the site of a tense game between the Vancouver Caribou and Dallas Dragons.

Dallas pitcher Victor Figueroa did his part in helping his team defeat the Vancouver Caribou, 3-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Figueroa. He threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Juan Millan. Adam Holland was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.

Cole Calkins, who finished 2nd in the NC in batting average with .298 in 2017, had a direct impact on the outcome. Calkins contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Dallas up, 2-0.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Figueroa after the game.

Dallas, now 8-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.
