20 Games in a Row for Beason Tuesday, May 19th , 2026 Brian Beason has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Newport News shortstop picked up 1 more today against the Santa Barbara Super Troopers and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Wranglers won the game, 4-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Brian Beason grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This season, Beason is swinging the bat at a .377 rate with 52 hits in 138 at-bats. To date he has hit 2 home runs, scored 23 runs and driven in 18. |
