Sikeston Loses Mickey Green Thursday, September 12th , 2024 A blow for Mickey Green today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4-5 months with a torn back muscle. Green suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Sikeston Shamrocks are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Green's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This year, Green has a 16-4 mark in 31 starts with a 3.34 ERA. He has given up 175 hits in 183.1 innings, struck out 128 and issued 52 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .250 batting average against him. |
