Super Season, MacPherson Wins Most Valuable Player Award Friday, October 24th , 2025 The manager of the Santa Barbara Super Troopers said he thinks Mike MacPherson is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 22, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2025 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award. His winning campaign featured a .411 batting average and a .499 on-base percentage this year. In 108 games he piled up 177 hits, 36 doubles, 2 triples, 25 home runs, 91 RBIs and 120 runs scored. He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 24. Eric Propper of the Santa Barbara Super Troopers finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Doug Wagner of the Santa Barbara Super Troopers finished third with 1 first place vote.
