Monday, October 20th , 2025
At the age of 22, Chris Williams says he still has a lot to learn about life in ABA Class A-.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Santa Ana Black Aces reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2025 Sub League 1 Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Monrovia, California native said.
For the season, Williams had 15 saves in 55 relief appearances, which totaled 90. He fanned 80 betters, while walking 15 and put up a record of 9-1 to go with his 3.00 ERA.
He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ronnie Downard of the Little Rock Golden Gophers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Victor Martinez of the Medford Desperados finished third.
