Griffin Laces 3 HR Against St. Joseph Sunday, September 8th , 2024 Tacoma Thunder Wolves second baseman Jesse Griffin had a magnificent game against the St. Joseph Mighty Mites, rocketing three balls out of Mighty Mites Park to help the Thunder Wolves win, 22-10. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Griffin went 4-for-5 with 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Tacoma manager Alfonso Estrada said later. "Seems like Jesse found his home run stroke today." Jesse Griffin struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th. This season, Griffin has banged out 71 hits in 225 at-bats for a .316 average with 14 home runs. He is getting on base at a .372 pace and his totals also include 45 RBIs and 52 runs scored. |
