Jon Maddock Injured, Out for Season Sunday, September 8th , 2024 When Jon Maddock was hurt against the Newport News Wranglers, the Mt. Vernon Cyclones were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 20-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Maddock would miss 8 months of the season. Maddock has fashioned a 13-3 mark for the season, 3.90 ERA and thrown 157 innings in 28 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .248 against him. |
