Carrillo Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, May 14th , 2024 Today at Ballpark of Medford, the Medford Desperados topped the Newport Unicorns in spite of a standout batting performance by right fielder Mario Carrillo. Carrillo had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking Medford pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. Medford whipped Newport by the score of 18-7. Mario Carrillo hit a two-run home run off Isaiah Starks in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
