Grimm Sizzles -- Smokes Hex for 5 Hits Sunday, May 12th , 2024 Doug Grimm told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Grimm of the Tacoma Thunder Wolves did against the Providence Hex. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a defeat, 14-13. "Not much I can say," offered Grimm in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Doug Grimm hit a three-run home run off Ricardo Sanchez in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jacob Wigdahl in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Albert Garcia in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
