Wahl Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Jammers Saturday, May 11th , 2024 Santa Ana Black Aces catcher Chris Wahl put on a dazzling display of power at Jammers Park against the Julian Jammers. In the 18-4 Black Aces victory, Wahl penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts. "He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Julian manager Cameron Pabst said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well." Along with his three home runs, the 21-year-old had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Wahl said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today." Chris Wahl hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Wahl is currently batting .333 with 4 home runs, 23 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 26 hits in 78 at-bats. |
