Gatica 6-for-7 Against Fighting Knights Friday, May 10th , 2024 Mt. Vernon defeated Niskayuna at Fighting Knights Field. The star of the game for the Cyclones was first baseman Omar Gatica. His hitting heroics included a 6-for-7 day, paving the way for Mt. Vernon's 24-9 triumph over the Fighting Knights. Omar Gatica singled in the 1st, flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Danny Manzano in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
