Injury Sidelines Humberto Avalos for Season Tuesday, May 7th , 2024 The season is apparently over for Humberto Avalos. The Savannah Alpines medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 12 months with a torn rotator cuff. Avalos was hurt in the game against Montgomery while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. To this point in the season he has had no saves. Avalos has made 3 relief appearances, tossed 9.2 innings and struck out 9 with a record of no wins and 1 loss. |
