Great Stroke: Riddell Gets 5 Hits
Tuesday, June 10th , 2025
It was a good day at Alpines Stadium. The Savannah Alpines whipped the Wichita Panthers, 11-6, and second baseman Craig Riddell showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Riddell told BNN reporters after the game.
Alpines manager Ryan Allen told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 21-year-old "focused and patient."
"It's not luck," the skipper said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Craig hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
Craig Riddell singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Brian Wilson in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jesse Soto in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
