Great Day for Chavez -- 5 Hits Sunday, May 25th , 2025 It was a hits blitz for Francisco Chavez at Paints Park. The Aurora Paints center fielder tore into the Santa Ana Black Aces for 5 hits in 7 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Black Aces swept past the Paints, 13-9, to ruin Chavez's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Aurora manager Orlando Salinas explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Francisco was nice but it wasn't enough." Francisco Chavez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
