Santa Ana Halts Retana's Hitting Steak Friday, May 9th , 2025 The Santa Ana Black Aces pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Edwin Retana hitless in 3 at-bats during the club's 10-0 victory over the Julian Jammers at Jammers Park. The disappointing performance ended a 24-game hitting streak for the second baseman. "I'm a little down right now," Retana said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." For the year, Retana has hit .432 with 10 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 27 runs. |
