At the age of 20, Dave Wunderlich of the Cowley County Community College Tigers could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2025 was good enough to win the center fielder the ABA Junior College Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .375 batting average this year, as well as a .405 on-base percentage. He played 47 games and racked up 75 hits, 19 doubles, 3 triples, 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 29 runs scored.

He received 6 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Victor Garza of the Cowley County Community College Tigers finished second in voting, while Kyle Johnson of the Central Arizona College Vaqueros finished third.
