Big Day for Allen: Swats 5 Hits
Tuesday, June 10th , 2025
It seemed that Buckeye Local first baseman Jason Allen could do no wrong as the Panthers KO'd the Wolverines, 13-10. Allen rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Wolverines hurlers were throwing.
"I think the Panthers were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Riverside fan after the game.
"I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Allen in the postgame press interview.
Jason Allen grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
This season, Allen has 14 home runs and a .434 batting average.
