Greyhounds Reed Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, April 25th , 2024 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Dave Reed -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Woodstock High School Stadium and paced the 15-7 Greyhounds win over the Woodstock High School Wolverines. After his dynamite batting performance, the Pope High School designated hitter told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Dave Reed singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date this year, Reed is batting .435 with 1 home run. |
