Dulaney Joins 3-HR Club
Thursday, April 25th , 2024
North Cobb Christian High School Eagles right fielder Clark Dulaney sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the Loganville High School Red Devils, Dulaney told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Dulaney pushed the Eagles past the Red Devils, 14-3. To go along with the homers, he collected 7 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Dulaney told reporters after the game.
Clark Dulaney walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Nick Boots in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Robbie Mansfield in the 4th and hit a three-run home run off Matt Rodriguez in the 5th.
So far this season, Dulaney is batting .325 with 13 home runs.
