Thompson Booms 3 Homers Tuesday, May 12th , 2026 Three home runs usually equal a win, but not today at Coppell ISD Baseball Complex. The Coppell High School Cowboys beat the odds and also beat Jonathan Thompson and the Allatoona High School Buccaneers, 10-7. The hot-hitting Thompson had an historic day at the plate with three home runs, 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored, but no victory. "This game is special for me. It's an individual accomplishment," he said. "As a team we didn't have a good day, but the three homers make it better." Jonathan Thompson hit a solo-shot off Dusty Rohanna in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Grabowski in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Joe Scott in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. In the current season, Thompson has put up a .370 batting average with 57 hits, 20 home runs, 51 RBI and scored 45 runs. |
