Fortin Socks It to Panthers, Cracks 5 Hits Saturday, April 20th , 2024 The Woodstock High School Wolverines stopped the Spring Hill High School Panthers by a score of 10-5 at Woodstock High School Stadium, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Tim Fortin. The 15-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Fortin said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Fortin did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Panthers. "Not much that I can say," offered Spring Hill High School manager Dave Booth. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Tim Fortin singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Juan Aragon in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Juan Aragon in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tom Merritt in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year, Fortin has hit at a .358 pace and produced 26 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 22 runs. |
