Wolverines Fortin Raps 3 Homers Saturday, April 20th , 2024 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Woodstock High School Stadium buzzing, Woodstock High School Wolverines right fielder Tim Fortin blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 10-5, over the Spring Hill High School Panthers. "Everything was clicking," Fortin told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Fortin shined brilliantly in the win, with 5 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Wolverines manager David Suarez said. "Tim played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Tim Fortin singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Juan Aragon in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Juan Aragon in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tom Merritt in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year, Fortin has hit 11 home runs and posted a .358 batting average. |
