Pope High School Stops Kilcoyne Hit Streak Friday, April 19th , 2024 The hitting streak that Trinity Christian Academy shortstop Brian Kilcoyne had kept going for 27 games was ended by the Pope High School Greyhounds. Kilcoyne was stymied over 3 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 19-3 victory at Stampede Park. "Hitting streaks come and go," Kilcoyne said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." On the season, Kilcoyne is batting .382 with 4 home runs and 16 RBIs. He has played in 23 games. |
