C Lane Receives 4-Game Suspension Friday, April 19th , 2024 Nick Lane of the Spring Hill High School Panthers became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Doral Academy yesterday at Doral Academy Baseball Complex. Today, the Panthers catcher addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 4-game suspension by the league. Lane said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because Lane returned to the field after the first argument had subsided. This season, Lane is hitting at a .157 pace with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and has scored 2 times. |
