Dykes Cracks 3 HRs for Chiles High School Friday, April 12th , 2024 Chiles High School right fielder Adam Dykes blasted three homers at Obra D. Tompkins Field in the 12-8 Timberwolves victory over the Tompkins High School Falcons. For the game, Adam Dykes scored 3 times and knocked in 8 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Dykes when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-4, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Dykes told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Adam Dykes hit a two-run home run off Jorge Garcia in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Bobby Gnan in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Nick Murphy in the 8th. A look at his current stats shows Dykes with a .347 average, 11 home runs, 21 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 17 games. |
