Hyman Smacks 3 Out of the Park
Tuesday, April 28th , 2026
Ray High School Texans first baseman Ryan Hyman sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the Pace High School Patriots, Hyman told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Hyman pushed the Texans past the Patriots, 13-3. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Hyman told reporters after the game.
Ryan Hyman hit a two-run home run off Jose Serrano in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jose Serrano in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
Hyman is currently batting .385 with 32 home runs, 43 runs scored and 66 RBIs. His OBP is .481.
