White Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Doral Academy Monday, April 27th , 2026 It was a doubly miserable day for Omar White of the Lowndes High School Vikings, as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 3-2, to the Doral Academy Firebirds at Lowndes High School Baseball Stadium. The 15-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 2 at-bats by the Firebirds. "Anyone on a 21-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Doral Academy manager Jesse Malone said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." White is currently batting .331 with 3 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
