Wolverines Bret Raps 3 Homers Saturday, April 11th , 2026 Windermere High School Wolverines first baseman Ray Bret sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Stockdale High School Mustangs, Bret told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Bret pushed the Wolverines past the Mustangs, 15-5. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Bret told reporters after the game. Ray Bret hit a three-run home run off Bobby Roach in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Chris Miller in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ray Swartz in the 6th and singled in the 7th. Currently Bret is batting .476 with 17 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
