Cowboys Prevail, as Round 2 Goes to the Wire Sunday, May 24th , 2026 The Coppell High School Cowboys and Chiles High School Timberwolves put on a classic Round 2 that was in question until the final game. In the end, Coppell High School won the deciding contest by a score of 8-2, to take the series 4-3. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Sean Greenwood, who earned series MVP honors for Coppell High School. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Greenwood hit .370 with a .452 on-base percentage. He had 6 home runs, drove in 11 RBI and scored 9 runs. The Coppell High School Cowboys will play against the Orange Lutheran High School Lancers in the next round. Orange Lutheran High School won their series against the Taravella High School Trojans 4 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
