Panthers Move on to Round 3 Tuesday, May 23rd , 2023 Larry McGlauflin wore out opposing pitchers en route to being named Round 2 MVP. The star's Parkview High School Panthers defeated the De La Salle High School Spartans by a series score of 4-1 to advance to the Round 3. Parkview High School won the final game by a 7-5 count in front of a raucous crowd at Hugh Buchanan Field. McGlauflin hit .556 with a .636 on-base percentage in the series, while also adding 5 home runs, driving in 10 RBI and scoring 8 runs. "Just trying to do my job, that's all there is too it," said McGlauflin. The Parkview High School Panthers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Woodstock High School Wolverines - Marcus High School Marauders series. Marcus High School leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes. |
