Wolverines McCall Injured Monday, May 8th , 2023 The Woodstock High School Wolverines learned that Mike McCall is likely to be out for 5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Allatoona High School Buccaneers. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be bone chips in his elbow. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Woodstock High School manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Mike is back in action." McCall's record this year is 1-and-0 with no saves and a 5.23 ERA. He has given up 20 hits in 20.2 innings with 21 strikeouts. |
