McFarland Rips 3 HR Monday, April 24th , 2023 Fans are still buzzing after Buford High School whipped the North Hall High School Trojans by the score of 20-3 at Cottrell Baseball Field. Bobby McFarland smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the second baseman bashed out 5 hits in 6 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 5 times. At the postgame press conference, McFarland said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," McFarland said. "Three is just... wow." Bobby McFarland hit a solo-shot off Jeremiah Robinson in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Matt Comito in the 6th, walked in a run in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Gabe Stevens in the 9th. This year, McFarland is hitting .357 with 10 home runs and 25 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .471 clip and scored 26 runs. |
