Great Day for Lewis -- 5 Hits Friday, April 19th , 2024 It was almost a perfect day for Bryan Lewis. The Deltaville third baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Deltas lost to the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 14-10. Lewis told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Deltaville manager Edgar Hernandez told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Bryan Lewis singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Lewis is hitting .280 so far this season with 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
