#1 Pitcher Trophy Won by Miners Valentin Tuesday, October 21st , 2025 Omar Valentin finished off a fine season by taking home the Northern A Pitcher of the Year Award today. The Glace Bay hurler went 12-3 on the year, posting a 2.60 ERA. Valentin also tallied 140 strikeouts in 156 innings and allowed opposing batters to hit only .223 against him. He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Paul Dolezal of the Huntsville Rockets finished second in voting, while Greg Amos of the Santa Rosa Desperados finished third.
