St. Catharines Moves on to World Series Tuesday, September 26th , 2023 The St. Catharines Blue Jays are one step closer to the World Series. The club prevailed 4-2 at Engineers Ballpark tonight to eliminate the Santa Rosa Desperados and advance to the World Series. The Blue Jays won the series by a 4-2 margin, with right fielder and series MVP Ryan Waugh leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Waugh said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The St. Catharines Blue Jays will play against the Dollywood Partons in the next round. Dollywood won their series against the Bangor Lumberjacks 4 games to 2.
